some thoughts

i have a daughter. it is so incredibly amazing to type that out. she is hilarious and smart and sassy and curious and stubborn and beautiful and animated and everything I could have ever hoped for and so much more. I love her with all of my heart...completely. things aren't always perfect...sometimes my patience wears thin...sometimes I am tired...sometimes I get upset... hubbylove and I just keep plugging away and working on communicating, listening, learning, etc. about her, each other, and ourselves in our new roles.

there are things that still hurt me sometimes. each month my heart still aches. i wonder about a sibling for our precious girl...she would definitely be an awesome big sis. now, how and when and where and lots of other questions are yet to be answered. but they will be...someday.

for now...i am so happy with life...in its ever-work-in-progress state. it's not perfect...but it sure is wonderful.
